Heatwave Advisory: 19 Regions on Alert – Stay Cool and Safe on Your Travels!
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has issued a cautionary advisory regarding elevated heat index levels anticipated in 19 regions nationwide for Saturday.
As per PAGASA’s 5 p.m. forecast on Friday, the following regions may experience heat indices ranging from 42°C to 44°C on Saturday:
- Aborlan, Palawan: 44°C
- Ambulong, Tanauan, Batangas: 42°C
- Aparri, Cagayan: 42°C
- Bacnotan, La Union: 42°C
- Catarman, Northern Samar: 44°C
- CBSUA-Pili, Camarines Sur: 43°C
- Clark Airport (DMIA), Pampanga: 42°C
- Coron, Palawan: 42°C
- Cotabato City, Maguindanao: 43°C
- Dagupan City, Pangasinan: 44°C
- Davao City, Davao del Sur: 42°C
- Dumangas, Iloilo: 43°C
- Guiauan, Eastern Samar: 43°C
- Iloilo City, Iloilo: 42°C
- Puerto Princesa City, Palawan: 42°C
- Roxas City, Capiz: 43°C
- Tuguegarao, Cagayan: 42°C
- Virac (SYNOP), Catanduanes: 42°C
- Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur: 43°C
PAGASA defines heat index as the perceived temperature to the human body when relative humidity is factored in with the air temperature.
The public is advised to minimize outdoor activities, especially during noon hours, and to maintain hydration by drinking ample water. Individuals venturing outside are encouraged to utilize umbrellas or wear hats and clothing with sleeves.
In other weather-related updates, most regions in the country will continue to experience generally favorable weather conditions, although isolated rain showers or thunderstorms are possible.
Throughout the archipelago, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas are expected.

Metro Manila: 25°C to 35°C
Baguio City: 17°C to 26°C
Laoag City: 24°C to 33°C
Legazpi City: 26°C to 33°C
Metro Cebu: 27°C to 32°C
Metro Davao: 25°C to 34°C
