June 15 regular holiday set for Eid’l Fitr observance

In observance of Eid’l Fitr, President Rodrigo Duterte through Proclamation 514 declared June 15, 2018 as a regular holiday throughout the country.

Eid’l Fitr or the Feast of Ramadan marks the end of the holy month of fasting for Muslims.

The Philippine government recognizes Eid’l Fitr as a regular holiday by virtue of Republic Act 9177, also pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 1083 signed into law on November 13, 2002.
