Assuring the public that he does not tolerate corruption, President Rodrigo R. Duterte said “our country would not attain progress if corruption will not be stopped and peace and order are not maintained.”
“Corruption in government will not be tolerated,” Pres. Duterte said emphasizing that he has fired many government officials including long-time allies.
“If we cannot have law and order in this country and if we do not have the will to stop graft and corruption, believe me, whether you are a Bicolano or Visaya, this country will never progress and develop even if you give the President five terms, walang mangyayari sa bayan natin,” Pres. Duterte said.
Pres. Duterte recalled that when he ran as President, he vowed to protect the Filipino people against criminals and fight the proliferation of illegal drugs in the country.
In this regard, the President urges the public to support his administration’s primary objective of ending criminality, corruption, and illegal drugs to attain comfortable life of all.
