  • War on drugs is far from over. War on illegal drugs will not be sidelined. It will be relentless and chilling; Illegal drugs waste away lives, ruin relationships.
  • Your concern is human rights, mine is human lives. Human rights means giving Filipino a descent and dignified future. You worry about the present, I worry about the future.
  • Corruption must stop. The love of money is corrosive. One day, justice will catch up with those who steal government funds. I thank Congress for the swift passage of ease of doing business law. I particularly call the attention of agencies with red-tape related reports. I value friendship but it has its limits. I appeal to you to help me in my cause so that our friendship will endure.
  • Mindanao was dubbed “The Land of d Promise.” We are now fulfilling our promise to Mindanao. Give me 48 hours to sign the Bangsamoro Organic Law.
  • War is not an option. We have seen horrors in Marawi. I have made a pledge that ISIS will never gain foothold in our country. We owe it to fallen soldiers and police.
  • We shall continue to assert and pursue independent foreign policy. We shall continue to reach out to all nations. We will have stronger binds with ASEAN friends. We have successfully hosted ASEAN Anniversary and Summit last November where we shared intel with China led to discovery of shabu laboratories.
  • We admire Filipino migrant workers who have contributed much to our economy. We condemn abuse and death of Filipinos in the hands of foreign employers. We will continue to work with host nations to ensure welfare of Filipino overseas workers.
  • I promise to do all I can to give Filipinos a comfortable life. Our campaign against “ENDO” resulted in regularization of more than 300K workers. I ask Congress to end practice of contractualization once and for all.

  • We shall lower interconnection rates between industry players.
  • Secretary Bong go was instrumental in the establishment of Malasakit Centers nationwide.

  • We must learn from Typhoon Yolanda and other disasters. We have approved for endorsement to Congress a law creating Department of Disaster Management.
  • I applaud Congress for the timely passage of Tax Reform Law. Some have incorrectly blamed Tax Reform Law to price increase. TRL is already helping poor families to cope with rising prices. All tax reform law packages would have been submitted to Congress by end of July
  • We have fast tracked distribution of NFA rice. I ask businesses to cooperate with us in establishing rice prices. We need to lower price of rice.
  • I promised to give Filipinos comfortable life even if it means fighting interests. We aim to cover all Filipinos against financial health risks. Much needs to be done to improve health care. I urge the speedy passage of Universal Health Care Bill.
  • I have no illusions of occupying this office a day longer than what the Constitution permits. I thank the Consultative Committee on Charter Change for crafting draft Federal Constitution. I am confident that Filipinos will stand behind us in push for charter change.
  • I will not bore u with a list of projects completed. I do the very best I know how, the very best I can.
